Elvira Misbakhova est connue pour sa versatilité: passionnée de musique de  chambre, elle est également soliste et musicienne d’orchestre.  

Elvira commence sa formation au violon dès l’âge de sept ans au Tatarstan en  Russie, son pays d’origine. Après avoir obtenu sa maîtrise au Conservatoire d’État  de Kazan, elle continue ses études au Canada en 1999 où elle étudie avec Eleonora  et Yuli Turovsky. Elvira obtient une autre maîtrise et un doctorat en interprétation  musicale de l’Université de Montréal en 2005. Pendant ses études, elle reçoit de  nombreuses bourses d’excellence et remporte le concours de concerto. 

Son parcours émérite la conduit à se produire en tant que soliste au sein de  l’Orchestre Métropolitain, I Musici de Montréal, l’Orchestre symphonique de  Drummondville, l’Orchestre symphonique de Trois-Rivières, l’Orchestre de chambre  Nouvelle Génération, l’Orchestre de chambre d’État de la République de  Biélorussie, l’Orchestre symphonique d’État du Tatarstan et La Primavera. 

Mme Misbakhova est actuellement l’alto solo de l’Orchestre Métropolitain sous la  direction de Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Elle se joint également à I Musici en juin 2022.  De plus, Elvira est l’alto solo de l’Orchestre de chambre Nouvelle Génération et  l’alto solo associée de l’Orchestre symphonique de Trois-Rivières.  

L’exceptionnel curriculum d’Elvira s’étend à l’enregistrement de nombreux albums.  En mai 2022, elle enregistre un album avec l’Orchestre symphonique de Londres  sous la fameuse étiquette Chandos. Elvira enregistre également un album en  octobre 2022 avec I Musici en tant que soliste sous le remarquable label ATMA. Un  autre album enregistré en 2019 avec Chandos fait l’objet d’une grande renommée  auprès de différents journaux, tels que « The Strad », « Gramophone » et « The  MusicWeb ». 

Forte d’une carrière édifiante, Elvira découvre son talent pour l’improvisation en  2000 ainsi qu’une grande passion pour la musique klezmer. Elle joint le célèbre  groupe canadien Kleztory aux côtés duquel elle se produit pendant plus de vingt  ans avec de nombreux orchestres de renom, parcourant le monde et enregistrant  sept albums. 

Mme Misbakhova est la fondatrice de plusieurs ensembles de musique de chambre,  sa maîtrise la mène à voyager afin d’enseigner plusieurs ateliers et cours de maître.

Elvira Misbakhova is known for her versatility: passionate on chamber music  scenes, she also performs as a soloist and orchestra musician.

Elvira begins her violin training at the age of seven in her native Tatarstan, Russia.  After receiving her Master’s degree from the Kazan State Conservatory, Elvira  moves to Canada in 1999 to continue her studies with Eleonora and Yuli Turovsky.  She obtains another Master’s degree and a PhD in music performance from the  University of Montreal in 2005. During her studies in Montreal, she is a recipient of  many bourses d’excellence and wins the concerto competition. 

Her distinguished career leads her to perform as a soloist with the Orchestre  Métropolitain, I Musici de Montréal, the Drummondville Symphony Orchestra, the  Trois-Rivières Symphony Orchestra, the Nouvelle Génération Chamber  Orchestra, the Belarusian State Chamber Orchestra, the Tatarstan State Symphony  Orchestra and La Primavera. 

Ms. Misbakhova is currently the Principal Viola of the Orchestre Métropolitain under  the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin. She also joins I Musici in June 2022. In  addition, Elvira is the Principal Viola of the Nouvelle Génération Chamber Orchestra  and the Associate Principal Viola of the Trois-Rivières Symphony Orchestra.  

Elvira's exceptional curriculum extends to the recording of numerous albums. In  May 2022, she records an album with the London Symphony Orchestra with the  prestigious label Chandos. Elvira also records an album in October 2022 as soloist  with I Musici under the remarkable ATMA label. Another album recorded with  Chandos in 2019 gains high acclaim by various newspapers, such as "The Strad",  « Gramophone" and "The MusicWeb". 

Through her edifying career, Elvira discovers her talent for improvisation in 2000 as  well as a great passion for klezmer music. She joins the famous Canadian group  Kleztory alongside which she performs for more than twenty years with many  renowned orchestras, travelling the world and recording seven albums.  

Ms. Misbakhova is a founder of a few chamber music ensembles in Montreal, her  mastery leads her to travel, teaching several workshops and masterclasses.
